We’re Hiring – Member Support & Events Coordinator Extraordinaire

Devonport Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and motivated self-starter to support our business community. The Member Support & Events Coordinator will play a pivotal role in facilitating our Strategic Plan priorities and calendar of activities to help our members thrive, so Devonport prospers.

Key duties

  • Communications, marketing and promotional tasks.
  • Event coordination and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
  • General administration and reporting duties.
  • Maintaining and managing membership records.
  • Membership support and liaison.

Essential skills and attributes

  • Relevant experience including events and marketing, communication, social media, project management and general administration.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along the ability to build effective relationships with members and key partners.
  • Flexible, problem solver with the ability to work independently.

Salary and conditions

Part-time, starting from 10 hours per week (with the possibility of increasing hours). Final hours of work and salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Suitable freelancers and independent contractors are encouraged to apply. Additional requirements including ABN registration and adequate insurances will be discussed with interested parties.
