DCCI President Elected to State Role

Devonport Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President, Claire Connelly, has been elected to the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) Board. The appointment was confirmed at yesterday’s TCCI Annual General Meeting in Hobart. Mrs Connelly said it’s another great opportunity to raise the profile of the Chamber and its members, and ensure the interests of Devonport and its business community are factored in to state and federal decision-making.

“For many years, I have been very impressed by the work of the TCCI. Their advocacy is balanced, informed and effective, and they are respected across the political spectrum. They’re a real standout among peak bodies, and it’s a privilege to be involved.” said Mrs Connelly.

“At the DCCI we have been very focussed on ensuring that our member’s needs are understood right across Tasmania and indeed, federally, and this is another opportunity to do that. It’s a great opportunity to make a difference at the state level too, helping ensure that the island remains a great place to investand do business.” Mrs Connelly said.
