Finalists announced for 2026 DCCI Business Excellence Awards, Gala tickets on sale

The Devonport Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has announced the finalists for the 2026 Business Excellence Awards, with tickets now on sale for the Gala on Saturday 14 November at the paranaple Convention Centre.

Following the successful relaunch of the Awards in 2025, this year’s program recognises businesses and individuals across nine award categories, including business leadership, professional services, retail, tourism, hospitality, skilled trades and community health and wellness. 145 nominations were received with 57 finalists. Several businesses are finalists in more than one category, and the field spans new operators and long-established names.

DCCI President Claire Connelly said being named a finalist was an achievement in itself.

“Behind every successful business are people who work incredibly hard, take risks and back new ideas. Every finalist should be proud of what they have accomplished, whether they are a new business finding its feet or an established operator that keeps innovating,” Ms Connelly said.

The People’s Choice Award also returns, giving customers and the wider community the chance to recognise the businesses that have made a lasting impression.

Gala tickets now on sale

The winners will be announced at the 2026 DCCI Business Excellence Awards Gala, to be held at the paranaple Convention Centre in Devonport on Saturday 14 November.

The Gala will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, community representatives and supporters for an evening of celebration, entertainment, outstanding dining and networking. Building on the success of last year’s revitalised event, the evening promises to be one of the highlights of the region’s business calendar.

“These Awards are about more than recognising individual achievements. They’re about bringing our business community together, celebrating what makes our region special and strengthening the connections that help local businesses succeed,” Ms Connelly said. “We encourage everyone to come along, support our finalists and be part of a fantastic evening celebrating local excellence.”

Tickets are now on sale, with businesses, colleagues, friends and community members encouraged to secure their places.

DCCI thanks its 2026 award sponsors: Commonwealth Bank, Devonport City Council, University of Tasmania, Spirit of Tasmania, Clifford Craig Foundation, Hospitality Tasmania, TasTAFE, and BYD Devonport. Along with 2026 event sponsors and partners: Devonport City Council, SeaFM and 7AD, Guy Barnett MP, Roger Jaensch MP, Abe’s Audio, Novotel Devonport, Marinus Link, Tasmanian Digestive Centre, Eastford Creek Vineyard, Anvers Tasmania, Qantas and The Old Woolstore.
