Nominations for the 2026 Devonport Business Excellence Awards are open, with the Devonport Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) calling on the community to recognise the businesses and individuals driving the region forward, before nominations close on 28 September 2026.
Now in its revitalised annual format, the awards celebrate outstanding businesses and individuals across Devonport, Latrobe and Kentish, culminating in a black-tie Awards Gala on Saturday, 14 November 2026, at the paranaple Convention Centre.
This year’s program features nine award categories, including the new Retail Excellence Award, alongside categories recognising skilled trades, food and beverage, health and wellness, tourism, professional services, outstanding business and business leadership. Inclusivity has been embedded as an assessment criterion across all categories. The community-voted People’s Choice Award, sponsored by BYD Devonport in partnership with SeaFM and 7AD, will again put the spotlight on a business highly valued by locals.
DCCI President Claire Connelly said the awards were a chance for the City to celebrate what makes its business community distinctive.
“These awards are about shining a light on the people and businesses who make our Devonport such a great place to invest, work and grow,” Ms Connelly said. “Whether it’s a tradie who’s built a reputation on reliability, a café doing something special with local produce, or an exceptional business leader, we want to hear about it, and there are only a couple of weeks left to put your nomination in.”
Nominations can be submitted through DCCI’s online nomination platform at dcci.org.au/awards. Community members can also cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award via the same page when voting opens.
