DCCI Announces the Tasmanian Business Conference & Women in Business Summit 2025: Driving Economic Growth and Supporting Business

The Devonport Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) is proud to announce the Tasmanian Business Conference & Women in Business Summit, set to take place on May 15 and 16, 2025, at the paranaple Convention Centre in Devonport. These groundbreaking events over two days are poised to have a significant impact on the local economy driving economic growth and powering business to adapt to tomorrow’s economy.

Both events are expected to attract over 450 attendees, to learn from influential leaders, innovative thinkers, and local experts. The events will provide a unique platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration, fostering regional business growth and supporting the Tasmanian business community.

The first two keynote speakers have been announced.

Globally renowned futurist, best-selling author and former Australian Keynote Speaker Of The Year, Michael McQueen, will talk about mega-trends and how to thrive amidst change.

Dr Catriona Wallace, ranked as the most influential woman in business by the Australian Financial Review and previously appearing on Shark Tank Australia, will talk about one of the hottest topics in business right now – ethics, AI and the future of humanity.

Event Highlights

Day 1: Tasmanian Business Conference

  • Nationally renowned keynote speakers
  • Panel discussions featuring local success stories
  • Networking cocktail function
  • Innovative technology showcase

Day 2: Women in Business Summit

  • Breakfast keynote and panel discussion
  • Deep-dive workshops

“Our members told us that they wanted more business conferences, closer to home, so it’s easier for them and their staff to attend. We started thinking about a ‘regional’ event, but thought hold on, why shouldn’t this be the event for Tasmanian business owners, regardless of where they are based. We’re looking forward to a strong local turnout, as well as the opportunity to show Devonport off to businesspeople from Launceston, Hobart and beyond.” said DCCI President, Claire Connelly. “We don’t have global speakers of this calibre on the island that often, but we’ve been able to make it happen thanks to our great partners and sponsors.” Mrs Connelly said.

The DCCI estimates that attendees will directly spend between $0.25m and $0.5m in Devonport over the two days.

Tickets may sell out and early bird pricing ends 5pm 28 March 2025. Visit: https://tasbusconf.au/ for more information and tickets.
