It’s been another blockbuster month, with Devonport shining at the National Tourism Awards. We’re thrilled to see our City crowned as Australia’s Top Tourism Town (population over 5,000) at the National Tourism Awards. This accolade underscores the incredible allure of our region. Stanley also shone with a silver medal for Australia’s Tiny Top Tourism Town (population over 1,500) marking a double celebration for Tasmania.
In terms of DCCI highlights over the past month, we had an excellent breakfast with TT Line Executive Director and CEO, Bernard Dwyer where we were buoyed with enthusiasm for the new Spirits. Despite delays, these vessels are set to impress promising increased capacity, pet-friendly features and a celebration of Tasmanian heritage.
We’re also pleased to announce Council’s unanimous support for our new three-year partnership agreement, aligned with our Strategic Plan. This funding is crucial for our work, and we value of ongoing collaboration with Council.
